ABOUT

Meet the Maker

Hi all my fellow dice lovers, weirdos, unapologetic nerds and everyone else in between. My name is Emily and I am the creator of Rogue Raven Dice.

I was not always the D&D loving, dice collecting, cosplay creating, witchy human that I am now.

I was introduced to D&D in college by my now husband and that is the moment my addiction started. I was not convinced that roleplaying and D&D was for me at first but one thing I could get behind was having a reason to collect pretty dice. As my knowledge and love of the game grew, I dove into the world of collecting handmade dice. I couldn't get over how much talent each and every one of the dice makers had. I found myself dreaming up dice designs and considering how much time I truly had to take on yet another hobby. I say another because at that point in time I was already painting D&D miniatures and writing extensive backstories for characters I may or may not get to play. Not to mention listening to and reading as much fantasy and true crime as I can get my hands on. But after doing a lot of research and receiving my first mold as a gift I jumped into the world of handmade dice!

The name Rogue Raven Dice was thought up at a brunch one morning with my husband and our two best friends, not thinking I would ever be creating a website to actually use it. The name was inspired by a character I play in a Throne of Glass inspired campaign who is near and dear to my heart. Myself and four other amazing women including our DM have been playing for over 3 years. My character is a rogue and during the game she acquired a raven who has now become somewhat of a symbol for her character. Truly though I cannot take credit for the name as my best friend was the one that suggested it. She actually has taken to naming many of my dice sets as well!

Thanks to D&D I have been on many adventures and lived many lives. I truly could not be more grateful for those experiences because they have helped shape who I am today. Rogue Raven Dice is an adventure that I am incredibly grateful to have in my life. Thank you all for joining in on my adventure!
